The Carina Nebula or Eta Carinae Nebula is a large, complex area of bright and dark nebulosity in the constellation Carina, and is located in the Carina–Sagittarius Arm. The nebula is approximately 8,500 light-years from Earth and is 230 light years across.
This is image is from 1 hour of 2 minute exposures using the Esprit 120mm Refractor and the QHY 268c Colour camera.
I have imaged this nebula several times before, but I like trying it out whenever I get a new camera. In this case is is a one shot colour image.
Note that the stars lack the deep colours as I was using an extreme narrowband filter to defeat the bright city lights and the bright moon. The L-Extreme filter cancels out a lot of the starlight while enhancing the Oxygen and Hydrogen in bright nebula.
